San Francisco International Airport, Airport Hotel Program

San Francisco, CA

MCK served as Project Manager for the Four / Five Star Grand Hyatt Hotel located at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).  Groundbreaking occurred June 20, 2017.  This $237 Million, 351 rooms, state-of-the-art hotel is accessible by Air Train and is located near the International Terminal.  The project successfully completed and opened to the public September 2019.

San Francisco International Airport, Consolidated Administration Campus (CAC), Phase I
San Francisco, CA

 

MCK served as Project Manager for the $60 Million, 135,000 square foot Consolidated Administrative Campus Phase 1.  Building is expected to break ground by September 1, 2016 and opened summer of 2018. The LEED Gold, Net Zero Energy building will house four SFO Departments consisting of over 400 staff. The top three stories will be advanced technology office space and the ground floor will include an accredited museum artifact preparation shop with strict humidity and dust controls.

Visitor Center Building Orange County Great Park

Irvine, CA

 

 

MCK served as Construction Manager for the new 5,000 square foot Visitors Center that accommodates visitors with park information, ticket sales, a gift shop, and public restrooms. Staff meeting space, storage, and other amenities. As the park’s first new “ground-up building,” it is designed to harmonize with the site’s historic military context as well as Great Park’s 21st Century image. Sustainable features include photovoltaic, solar-shading, and thermal mass in the form of gabion walls with site-harvested “El Toro Stone.” Prior to bid, MCK prepared all bid documents, and reviewed entire package for constructability and bid ability. MCK facilitated numerous changes to the bid package. MCK also prepared the cost estimate which aligned well with the bids that were received. The MCK team performed cost estimating and led all change order negotiations with the General Contractor. MCK was responsible for ensuring that all aspects of construction were implemented and monitored. Construction Team Meetings were held on a weekly basis with the General Contractor in order to stay in front of construction issues as they arose.

Golden State Warriors San Francisco Arena Development Project

San Francisco, CA

MCK provided Construction Management and Owner's Representative services for the initial project planning, site selection report, cost estimates, permit strategy, and design management for the initial $100 million pier upgrade project. MCK  contracted through 2014 for pre-construction services, and other support to the Ownership.

Federal Building (7th and Mission)

San Francisco, CA

MCK provided Construction Management and Inspection as a sub consultant to CM Hunt Construction for this slender, 18-story, 240-foot tower that creates a landmark for the City of San Francisco, while the four-story annex connects to the scale of the adjacent neighborhood. The design redefines the culture of the workplace through office environments that boost workers’ health, productivity and creativity. The building’s shape and orientation maximize natural airflow for cooling and ventilation, and takes advantage of natural day light for the majority of the office interior. These features, combined with a number of other energy-saving elements, significantly reduce overall energy consumption compared to conventional commercial office buildings in the United States. The $144 million project opened in July of 2007.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel & Residences MGM/Mirage CityCenter Project

Las Vegas, NV

MCK provided cost estimating  and change order negotiation services for this Mixed-Use Development of 404 hotel rooms and 227 residences with 75,000 square feet retail and 1.3 million total square feet, was constructed on a $637 million budget. The Mandarin Oriental Residences are the most expensive condominiums ever built in the western United States. These condos sold for $1,600/square foot, setting a new benchmark for high-rise luxury living. Ranging from 1,100 to 3,500 square feet, these condos were highly customized by the pre-sale owners and possessed the highest level of interior finishes. The Mandarin tower and adjacent parking garage achieved a LEED Silver certification.

Aria Sky Villas MGM/Mirage CityCenter Project

Las Vegas, NV

MCK provided cost estimating services, constructability studies, preliminary budgeting and value engineering. for the  largest privately financed project in the U.S. at $8.5 Billion with Six high rise buildings from 27 to 58 floors; 300,000 SF convention center; 150,000 SF casino; 500,000 SF Retail; 1,840 seat showroom; 5,891 hotel rooms, 560 condos; parking structures all totaling 18,000,000 SF. Project also included an Automated People Mover. Extensive infrastructure and major highway structure on a 65-acre site.

Apple Campus 2 Project Landscape and Irrigation

Cupertino, CA

Served as Senior Project Manager for this 24 month project that consisted of pre-construction services, 17 month construction schedule and 465,000 man-hours for the 175 acre site, in excess of 7,200 trees, 5.5 million plants, 134 miles of irrigation piping, and 210,000 cubic yards of soil.

Squadron Building Renovation Orange County Great Park

Irvine, CA

The Palm Court & Squadron Complex is a unique space that is the home for the arts at the Great Park, including an outdoor palm-lined court suitable for outdoor performances, art shows and book fairs. The Palm Court ties together former aviation support buildings, which has been transformed into an arts gallery and artists’ studios. MCK provided the Construction Management Services for the Squadron Building Project.
