COMMUNITY

MCK is committed to giving back to the community in a variety of ways from bringing awareness to childhood cancer, to sustainability efforts, to volunteer opportunities and mentoring our youth.

MCK has actively hired student interns since 2000 primarily from minority engineering organizations such as National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Minority Engineering Program (MEP) and other groups. We have relationships with San Francisco State, UC Berkeley and UC Irvine.  Many of these individuals have gone on to serve in the highest managerial positions in the City and private industry. MCK has actively participated in job fairs and outreach in the Bayview area since 1992.  Brendan McDevitt served as an assistant to the late Alex Pitcher, former chair of the local NAACP Chapter. MCK volunteers in the local middle schools, does outreach in the Bayview schools, to encourage students to attend college and other mentoring efforts.
