Job Description
We’re growing and are looking for Cost Estimators and Senior Cost Estimators across California. In this role you will provide cost estimating services for pre-construction through project closeout. We are looking for reliable and hard-working individuals that take pride in their work. Candidates must demonstrate first-rate work ethics, strong attention to detail and communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Responsibilities:

Cost estimating for pre-construction, support for the review and assessment of change requests and value engineering change proposals.

Perform constructability and preliminary take-offs.

Review proposed design changes and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to help prepare a schedule, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Review contractor and subcontractor change order estimates.

Conduct or attend cost reconciliation meetings.
General Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum of ten (10) years of recent experience in cost estimating of medium to large and complex construction projects.

Prepared and evaluated medium to large change order cost proposals with a value of over $25 million within the past five (5) years.

Experience in Rail and Rail Bridges, Stations, and Right-of-Way work in California.

Baccalaureate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or relevant discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.

Cost estimator certificate such as Certified Cost Engineer CCE or Certified Professional Estimator CPE is highly desirable.

Proficiency with HeavyBid is preferred
