Pier 27, Cruise Ship Terminal
Port of San Francisco

San Francisco, CA

MCK provided full service Civil, MEP and Architectural Cost Estimating and Change Order Analysis for varying disciplines and negotiations to the San Francisco Department of Public Works for the Pier 27 Cruise Ship Terminal. The project consisted of a new 88,000-sq-ft cruise terminal, where the Pier’s 1,360-foot berth now accommodates the largest cruise ships. The building won a LEED Silver rating by the U.S. Green Building Council. MCK’s services were key in establishing a cost forecast and analyzing change orders for this project that did not have a reliable initial budget. The pier and massive environment created extra complexity to the estimating approach. The project was completed on time and within budget in large part to the accuracy of MCK’s services.
