Job Description
Candidates should have experience as Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, Project Manager, Office Engineer or related role to provide services for projects pertaining to aviation projects at operating airport.
Candidates must demonstrate a first-rate work ethic, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities may include:

Managing the project construction contracts as the Client representative.

Administering the construction contract.

Implementing quality plans to assure all construction work is completed in conformance to the Contract Documents.

Implement environmental compliance requirements and procedures.

Manage schedules, costs, and change orders.

Maintain all construction documentation and records.
-
Be the prime point of contact between the Contractor and the Client and external stakeholders.

Direct the performance of the project CM team and ensures conformance to established policies and procedures for the management of the project.

Implement quality plans for adherence of construction work completed according to contract documents.

Manages submittals, RFI’s and change orders.
-
Various other responsibilities applicable to project.
General Requirements/Qualifications
-
10+ years providing construction management services for complex projects or programs including transportation projects, preferably at an airport particularly in lead role for Resident Engineer OR 5+ years as Assistant Resident Engineer and/or Office Engineer in support role for Assistant Resident Engineer.

A baccalaureate degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or in a relevant

engineering discipline from an accredited institution or relevant degree.

3+ years using CM software, Unifier is a plus.

Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California is preferred for Resident Engineer role.

Certification as a Certified Construction Manager is a plus.
